The PAM00425 Panerai Radiomir SLC 3 Days Replica 47mm Watch Review
The Panerai Radiomir SLC 3 Days 47mm Replica, Limited Edition to 1500 Pieces, Part of Panerai's Historic Collection, Stainless Steel on a Calfskin Strap with a Tang Buckle, Manual Wind Caliber P.3000, 3 Day Power Reserve, Black Sandwich Dial with Tan Hands and Hour Markers, Sapphire Crystal, Display Back.
As opposed to most of the new special edition Radiomirs that were introduced in Geneva, the PAM425 has a sapphire crystal as opposed to a plexi. The crystal is 2.8mm thick and it actually does look like a plexi. It has a screw-down conical winding crown, and it registers hours and minutes. It has a 3-day power reserve and it's water resistant to 100 meters. The case, dial, and movement are all signed. This is a limited edition of 1500 examples, and is an "O" series watch. The crystal so to speak sticks out of the case which gives it a unique and vintage style look. The regular production PAM425 is very similar to the new special edition PAM449, but the PAM449 has blue hands and a plexi.
A Stainless Steel Radiomir S.L.C 3 day Power Reserve Gents Wristwatch, black dial with luminous hour markers, a slow speed torpedo is embossed at 6 0'clock and "S.L.C" is engraved on the flange at 12 0'clock, an original brown leather strap with an original stainless steel pin buckle, domed sapphire glass, exhibition back, manual wind movement with a 3 day power reserve
This minimalistic Radiomir S.L.C. 3 Days limited edition is a tribute to the history of Officine Panerai and to the prototype created by them in 1936 for the commandos of the Royal Italian Navy. This version harkens back to the 1930's Panerai model with the first sandwich dial construction, in which two plates were filled with a layer of luminous material, allowing the luminescence to show through apertures corresponding to the index markers cut in the upper plate. S.L.C. refers to Siluro a Lento Corsa, the slow-speed torpedo ridden by commandos of the Royal Italian Navy on their underwater missions.
